Pictures from Russia

Here's some pictures from Russia! I had a educational experience from Russia, especially at Victory Museum. I felt that there were great pains and struggles in World War II, and each countries suffered greatly. The monument in the first picture really symbolizes that. If you have a chance to visit Russia, you should really go there to learn that war shouldn't be taken lightly, especially in this day and age where war is a close threat for many countries.

Came back from Russia!

I came back from Russia today!
It was a very pleasant trip all along, and I sure rode a lot of Metro!

I learned a lot about Russian history and their art collection (in art museum).
I'll try to upload a lot of pictures tomorrow, but until then, take a look at my Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/stingraze

It feels good to be home!

Geforce GTX 1050 Ti

Geforce GTX 1050 Ti

I bought Geforce GTX 1050 Ti made by ASUS yesterday from K's Denki near my house. It was about 20450 yen or so, after 5% reduction because I have the red member card.
I've successfully installed tensorflow for Windows on the machine (custom HP ML115G5) and it's working great.

I am planning to use it as a sort of test machine until I can get a better machine later in the year or so. (The HP ML115G5 has Phenom II X4 2.6GHz and SSD but it's a little bit slow...)
I'm using Minergate to mine some altcoins, and it seems to be working well. I'm mining ByteCoin, and last I checked, I made it above $1.00! lol

I am wanting to change my LTC to some of the minor cryptocurrencies, I'm hoping it goes well.

Funny Computer joke concerning butterfly effect I found via Quora today. https://xkcd.com/378/

Just updates

So, I've been working on various things and studying about Marvin Minsky's works and reading from his books. Learning classical artificial intelligence topics are quite fun. Also, I've been a fan of Spotify in Japan for a while now, it's giving me quality musics to listen to. It's quite amazing. :-)

Music I'm listening to now.

I'm listening to a song called Calling You by a Japanese artist. Her voice is very soothing. Yesterday, I went to Hakone and it was refreshing. I'm just wondering what certifications to take in the near future, I've been thinking of getting the searcher certification for a while now, just hadn't put it to action. I'm at Starbucks as usual today, and it's quite crowded since it's basically the start of Golden Week. I rather like the stillness of morning, where there isn't much people, but this is good in its own way.

Just Some Thoughts

Just noticed today that Caffe mocha in Starbucks is sweet... (It's common sense for coffee liking folks I bet, but I prefer tea to be honest)

I think I didn't care about it being sweet some time ago, but since these days I'm taking sweet things seldomly, I was surprised how sweet Caffe mocha is... haha I like the bitter-sweetness though.

Well that's that.

Aside from that, I've been quite busy sending stuff overseas last week, but this week I was quite free from work.

It's going to be Golden week here in Japan soon, and everywhere's going to be crowded I bet. :-)

In Japan, Mastodon is getting momentum. I haven't tried it yet, but maybe I'll start using it someday.

I was flipping through flick! magazine (e-book) today, and I found a Microsoft Translator Speech API. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/translator/speech.aspx

It is something similar to something I saw a demonstration of in CEATEC by NTT (If I remember correctly).

On my Way to Odaiba

So today, since I earned some money during last week, I decided to go to Odaiba to go to Venus Fort.

I haven't been to Venus Fort since around 2007, so it will be already 10 years! I'm hoping to get some clothes / LEGO for myself there. The weather today is nice and warm.

I think this year, I will go to WIRELESS JAPAN which will be held next month if possible, and CEATEC for sure.

Repost: Boston

Changed the title of the blog.

Now that we're in the brink of a serious situation in the Far East, I changed my blog's title to "Equipping Myself with Courage".

Let's see how long this blog will continue under this new name.

God Bless you all.
